A beacon lit by teachers, for their children
Manar Al Sabil — «the beacon of the path» — is a full-cycle Islamic school in Istanbul, born from a simple conviction: our children deserve knowledge and faith together.
How Manar Al Sabil began
It started with a Muslim family from the Caucasus who felt what was missing in ordinary schools — a genuine Islamic upbringing alongside a serious academic education.
Two teachers, Abu Hamza and Abdullah Umarov, turned that need into a plan. They wrote it down, prepared a first building in just fifteen days, and opened with five classes.
Enrolment exceeded every expectation. This year the school has grown by five more classes — and the need to secure its future has grown with it.
A short film about the school is coming soon.
Our mission & vision
To raise a well-balanced generation — grounded in faith, upright in character, strong in knowledge, fluent across languages, and equipped with the skills of life. Not a subject to be studied, but a way of being to be lived.
